Design Objective: Design complete aircraft for a senior project.
Role
• Designing an emergency medical delivery supply hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft (fuselage, insulated payload cabin, wings, tail, landing gear, motor housing, ailerons, rudder, and propellers) with the drawings for each part of the aircraft from scratch on SOLIDWORKS and Siemens NX.
• Assisted in determining the weight and balance of the aircraft.
• Using PDM software to keep all the files updated by each team member.
• Assisted in calculating the Stability and Control of the aircraft from the data collected from the SOLIDWORKS and Siemens NX model.
• Manufacturing the aircraft from scratch using materials like fiberglass, carbon fiber, Styrofoam, and wood.
• Determining, testing, and solving problems regarding the actual performance of the aircraft by flying it.

Project Requirements
• Designing an emergency medical delivery supply hybrid-electric aircraft with high endurance level as the high endurance is an advantage for the aircraft with a longer flight time.
• Integrating the switch to the combustion engine on the flight after the vertical takeoff.
• Needs to have a maximum weight of 25 kilograms.
• Insulated cabin for a consistent temperature for the payload.
• Aircraft dimensions should not exceed 2 meters.

Results
• Designed an aircraft with five rotors, four of which are used for VTOL, and the fifth rotor is used for propelling the aircraft forward.
• Made the aircraft compact and also successfully achieved all the other requirements regarding weight and size.
